STAFF
PASTOR TRAVIS HORN
I am the pastor of Missionary Baptist Church. I grew up in Pueblo, CO. I moved to Springfield, Missouri to attend Baptist Bible College after graduating from high school. I graduated with an associates degree in church music, a bachelors degree in intercultural studies, and a masters degree in church ministry.
After graduating from college I married my wife Natalie, and we moved to the small town of Aurora, MO where we served as the janitor, worship pastor, maintenance, associate pastor, and all other duties as assigned. The church had been through a traumatic event, but grew from around 180 people to almost 300 in attendance during the 8 years we served on staff there. I gained a lot of valuable ministry experience while there, and was over a large variety of ministries.
God opened the door for us to move to Lamar, CO in the summer of 2018. We have a 9 year old son Titus, a toddler named Jude, a 1 year old named Micah, and a baby girl named Norah who didn't live long with us on earth due to health issues. My wife has been in the education field since graduating college with a degree in early childhood development. I enjoy hunting, fishing, golfing, fixing things, playing basketball, and spending time with friends and family.
I hope to lead our church well by working hard, being there for the church, and helping out in our community however I can. We seek to be a welcoming church that does what we can to share the Gospel in our community and across the world. I hope to get to meet you soon!
